Class at the park

One of those hot days last week Taylor's class went to Victoria Park to meet with another class in another Immersion program a way's away. There's a kid in the class that Taylor is best friends with and misses a lot since they moved away :(
During this year the kids wrote to each other in this class as pen pals. It was wonderful to get to meet them later.
They had some fun at the park and then the other class left and we made our way back to the school.

Here is the class all posing nicely for a photo. I hoped to get one of them all jumping DOWN but they didnt get the concept LOL. ALmost all of them are there!

After the kids went back to class, Annika and I had some time to kill so we went to the playground behind the school and played there for awhile. I have just a FEW favorite photos from that time :)

More pics on the Road

We spend a lot of time on the road in front of our house. It's a reasonably quiet road, and Im glad for that :)
I love the kids to be outside and getting lots of exercise so I end up standing out there watching them. I might as well be taking photos!
We had a few nice hot days last week (Wed-Fri) and we took advantage of every minute outside!

Sorry for the really bad photo of Annika on her rollerskates! I had the camera exposure turned WAY down and only realised it later when I looked.

Taylor was only hanging around me bugging. So she got her photo snapped just looking cute :)

Apparently my blog is outta date....

I dont even know where to start so I will start with the Horse Show that we went to last weekend :)
Taylor's friend Lane was in a horse show with her pony and Taylor and I went to watch :) We got up at the ungodly time of 6 am to go lol and stayed the whole day! LOL
Lane showed her pony in a flat class and over some fences. It was really cute and we had a good day but I didnt get too many good photos of it all! lol the arena was dark and my camera not so good in dark dust. LOL
She got a second in one of her jumping classes, and a 5th in another. :)

A morning Conversation

I rolled over in bed this morning at about 714 (that's way early for me. I dont DO morning.) And found Annika staring at me. She slept between us all night and I dont think she was too bad last night.

She says " Mommy I know what little girls are made of."

Now I am thinking 2 things. What no good morning? You are forcing me into thinking this early? How long have you been staring at me waiting for this revalation?
and Well they are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. Isn't it cute that you wake up with such nice thoughts.

So I say "what are little girls made of?"

"Milk."

"Milk? did you say Milk"?

lol

"Yes Milk. Because they are Mommies."

I'm shaking my head. That's such an interesting theory. LOL
SO I kiss her nose and she says "Get outta bed Momma. It's morning time!"

Annika let me straighten her hair one morning :) We had fun doing that, then taking some photos :)

Trying the Burd thing again

But this time, I named it before it even came home. Scott asked me, if I wanted to try a Burd again. Our last cockatiel met a disastrous end at the hands er um teeth of the dogs. Yes 2 dogs. it must have been horrid :(
Im game. I will try again. I have bent that cage door til it's almost impossible to open. In fact, I have to use a knife. And Piper the femail cockatiel has come home. She's not as nice as the unamed burd we had last. She's older, she's nastier, and she's bigger. But she has lots of colour and character and since we went and bought her favorite food, I hope she might start eating. LOL ohoh.

Dirty Dancing Relived

I never thought I would see it in a theater again:) Really.
Talk about take me back 20 years!
Ya 20 years ago, Dirty Dancing was released. And became my favorite movie!
Maybe partly because it was a first (I think) date with a really nice guy and really the first time Id been allowed out without parents (although we were with a small group). Maybe it was the music. Maybe the dancing which really was Tonnes of awesome. Maybe it was Patrick Swayze all sweaty and tanned. Whatever it was, I watched that movie until every single line was burned into my mind.

With the Anniversary came a chance to see the movie IN the theater again. What an experience! It was AWESOME! Big screen, awesome sound to the music, same cheesy lines, same cheesy looks....and Dancing! So hard to sit in our seats with all that dancing!

We went to Halifax before supper. Shelley drove, and Tracy, Lisa, and Lori completed the group.
OH my goodness these young things kinda put me in my place when they said they never saw Dirty Dancing in the Theater. They were all TOO YOUNG! Oh my gawd how old does that make me? I DID see it in the theater! LOL Shocking to me who thinks she's still so young!


We had supper first at the Boston Pizza! It was awesome pizza! LOL And nice drinks too!

We didnt get to the theater terribly early and ended up sitting really close to the front! It was so big! From that close you almost were IN the movie :)

And the music starts, and the title comes up! SHIVERS!!!! I was immediately in that theater again, or listening to the soundtrack, or anywhere other than 2007! LOL!

Yes I took photos in the theater. They didnt turn out so well when there was a lot of movement, so most of the dancing photos looked too blurred. But I did take photos of my favorite parts :)
The nice, sweet, romantic parts...Can't you almost hear the music? Don't you feel like Cryin?

You can almost make out the sweat lol PS was SOOOOOO sexy!



I was shocked how many people were laughing! I wonder why they were there? There was so much Laughter at inappropriate times, I was quite annoyed! I wasnt the only one! LOL

OOO Baby in the corner! Shivers again, waiting for it!

That last dance, so awesome! I could almost CRY! LOL!



And the lift, what an awesome way to finish the movie! :):):)


The Credits...so SAD! I didnt want it to end! LOVE to know the rest of the story LOL!


So we leave the theater all happy and giddy and head off for our dessert :) Back to Boston Pizza for Brownie dessert :)

The Bike Crew

We had a crew biking yesterday in between rain and I heard somewhere there was Wet Snow. Spring in the maritimes means May Day can be a snow day. :)

After school, Holly, Katelyn, Myles, and Annika enjoyed some much needed outside time. Theyve been too caged! LOL!
